Saunamyssy

Äitini käyttää yleensä saunassa hiusten suojana pyyhettä, koska hiukset kärsivät saunan lämmöstä. Varsinkin, jos odottelee hoitoaineen vaikutusta saunassa, kannattaa suojata hiukset kuumuudelta. Niinpä tein äidille joululahjaksi saunamyssyn, raskaasti modifioitu taannoisen Kotivinkin ohjeen pohjalta.

Puikot nro 7 tavalliset tai pyöröpuikot (40cm)

Lanka Allhemp6-lankaa, värit aubergine, raspberry, dusty rose, chocolate. Kutakin väriä menee noin neljäsosavyyhti. Langassa olennaista on materiaalina hamppu tai jokin muu kosteisiin tiloihin sopiva materiaali.

Huom. Koska käytössä kaksinkertainen lanka, kannattaa keriä lanka vyyhdeistä kahdeksi keräksi.

- Luo kaksinkertaisella chocolatella 60 selmukkaa. Neulo 1 oikein 1 nurin joustinneuletta 7 kerrosta.

- Jatka 1 oikein 1 nurin joustinneuleella seuraavat värit:

* [ 4 x dusty rose, 4 x raspberry ] x 2

* 4 x dusty rose

* [ 2 x aubergine, 2 x raspberry ] x 2

* 2 x aubergine

- Kiristä langalla yläsilmukat kasaan. Jos käytit tavallisia puikkoja, ompele sauma. Päättele langanpäät.

- Letitä lenkki kaksinkertaisista langoista kolmea valitsemaasi väriä. Pujota kiristyslangan kautta ja solmi hevosenhäntäsolmulla.

Lankaa myy Suomessa ainakin UmmaLulla, jonka nettikaupasta sitä tilasin. Lisäksi tilasin kerän opossuminvillaa, josta pitääkin seuraavaksi kehittää jotain.

Sauna Hat

This is a hat I made my mom, since she likes to wrap a towel around her hair when going to sauna - helps keep her hair in better shape, since the heat of the sauna isn't always the best for it. It is made from hemp yarn, which withstands the moisture of the sauna well.

Needle nro 7 (European)

Yarn Allhemp6, colors aubergine, raspberry, dusty rose, chocolate. Only around one fourth of each skein is used, so if you want less colors, you'll still need only one skein each.

Note: Since yarn is used doubled-up, I recommend re-winding the skeins to two balls.

- Cast on 60 sts with doubled-up chocolate. Knit 1, purl 1, for 7 rows.

- Continue with [k1 p1] for the following rows:

* [ 4 x dusty rose, 4 x raspberry ] x 2

* 4 x dusty rose

* [ 2 x aubergine, 2 x raspberry ] x 2

* 2 x aubergine

- Tighten the stitches together with the yarn passed through them. Stitch together the side of the hat.

- Braid rope for the loop with three different color yarns, doubled. Make the rope into a loop around the yarn in the top and make a knot.
